The Central State Scientific and Technical Archives of Ukraine has supported the initiative of the International Council on Archives (ICA) and joined the International Archives Week, which this year is held under the theme #ArchivesAreYou.
This event is organized to draw attention to the world archival heritage, to convey to the general public the importance and significance of archival institutions in the modern world and to talk about what it means to be an archivist. During this week, from June 6 to June 10, we will publish on the official website of the CSSTA of Ukraine and on social networks Facebook and Instagram our online events dedicated to the International Archives Week.

There are many different stereotypes about archives and archivists in the world. Thousands of books are written on archival topics, lectures are taught in educational institutions, but no theory, analytical material, media article, photo or video on social networks can form an idea of archives better than personal experience.
